The Story of the Yarn

Marlowe Studios began when I discovered the story of two Ukrainian women who learned to recycle leftover cotton from textile mills in their region and turn it into 100% eco-friendly yarn. The women began selling the yarn locally in 2016. When the war started in Ukraine in 2022, they moved their operation to the Czech Republic, employing Ukrainian citizens displaced by the war.
After learning about their story on social media, I reached out inquiring about the yarn. After months of communication, including flying to the Czech Republic in April 2025 to meet them, I am now a wholesaler for their company. My shipments come directly from their factory. After covering expenses, I reinvest the proceeds into purchasing more yarn.
Marlowe Studios honors my kind and creative granddaughter, Marlowe, and the women of Ukraine who continue to persevere despite the challenges they face each day.
